What you'll build

A small game with one core action, one screen, and a run under three minutes. You'll build it on Mindblown, refine it through the lessons, and test it with real players. Small on purpose, because small games get finished.

What you'll learn

Nine lessons, nine rules. Every lesson has one rule you'll still remember next month.

Think like a designer

“One line before one pixel.” Write your game in one line: the verb, the goal, the tension.

The core loop

“Every tap deserves a reply.” Make every action pay off: feedback, reward, repeat.

The first 60 seconds

“Nobody reads. Everybody taps.” Get a new player acting in five seconds, with no text.

Game feel

“Players forget the score. They remember the hit.” Add impact and sound, and tune it by feel.

Playtesting

“Watch. Don't explain.” Watch three players in silence and fix what they show you.

Difficulty and pacing

“Fair is when players blame themselves.” Build a ramp with rest beats and failure that feels fair.

Progression

“Give them a reason to come back tomorrow.” Give players a goal for the session, the day and the week.

First impression

“Say the verb before they tap.” Make the title, cover and screenshots that sell your game.

Final project

“A game that needs you in the room is still a draft.” Publish, test and write a one-page design note.

Frequently asked questions

The essentials before you build.

Do I need to code?

No. Describe your game in plain words; Mindblown builds it. Learn what to ask for and how to judge the result.

How long does it take?

About 4 hours of lessons and building. Go at your own pace—typically 1–2 weeks.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. Mindblown is for ages 13 and over.

Can I use my own idea?

Yes. Lesson 1 helps you scope it into a small game you can finish.

Can I copy a famous game?

Borrow a mechanic, but create your own name, characters and look. Mindblown doesn’t host copies of other brands.

Why is my game different?

That’s normal. Use each exercise’s checklist to judge your build, then ask the bot for changes in plain words.

What does it cost?

The course is FREE. Its promo code adds 30 million building tokens to your Mindblown account, on any plan, the free one too. That's plenty for the whole course. Playing is always free.

How do I get certified?
